"The Bedbug [1934] by C. L. Marlatt" is a science publication that educates homeowners about dealing with the pesky bedbug. As a piece of entomological research from the early 20th century, it dives into understanding the blood-sucking bedbug, its mannerisms, how it grows, and ways to eliminate it. The book takes a closer look at the common bedbug, explaining how they barge into homes by catching a ride on luggage or laundry. Marlatt goes into detail about what these insects look like, how they live, and what helps them multiply, stressing how important it is to keep a lookout to manage them. It gives different solutions, mentioning strong fumigation using gas and simpler home treatments like kerosene and heat, all to get rid of the resilient pests.
